I live in a part of Missouri that suffers from moisture and corrosion. My Yaesu FT-102 was operating fine, but I thought it might be time to clean contacts, so I unplugged every plug and used a cleaner that would not leave any residue on all plugs and rotory switches. Once it dried I applied Deoxit D100, to coat all the contacts for the future, and plugged all plugs back in.
When I turned it on and tuned the rig up, I noticed a higher S-Meter reading on all the people I have been talking to for the past year. The increase was as high as 30% more signal. I'm a real believer in Deoxit now and recommend it to my friends.
